Metallica made history this weekend, playing a concert in Antarctica and becoming the first band ever to perform on all seven continents.

The show, which approximately an hour long, took place inside a dome, for a crowd made up of 120 scientists and contest winners.

The show was played without amps, as the music was transmitted through headphones to the audience. . The concert was also filmed and streamed online as well.
