Billy Joel, Bob Dylan, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Steve Miller, Brian Wilson, Heart, Sammy Hagar and Willie Nelson are just some of the artists taking part in a Paul McCartney tribute album due out in November.
The Art of McCartney, which has been in the works since 2003, is produced by Ralph Sall and, on many tracks, features McCartney’s current backing band.
James McCartney, Sir Paul’s son, even plays on the album with The Cure, doing a cover of The Beatles’ “Hello Goodbye.”
The Art of McCartney will be available in various formats including a 2-disc box set. It will feature 34 songs plus an additional 8 songs on the vinyl and deluxe editions.
