Handwritten lyrics for Bob Dylan’s “Like A Rolling Stone” fetched $2.045 million at auction this week, Rolling Stone reports.

Written in pencil on four sheets of hotel stationary, the lyrics are not the final lyrics to the song. The draft contains some alternate phrases and lines that were eventually changed, such as “…dry vermouth/You’ll tell the truth” and a line about Al Capone.

The piece was auctioned by Sotheby’s and went to an unidentified bidder. Sotheby’s called the sale a world record for popular music manuscript, according to the Associated Press. It was expected to fetch between $1M and $2M.
