Bon Jovi Announces UK Cut-Price Tour Details

Recent ticket prices have made the cost of going to a concert virtually impossible for the average fan, so Bon Jovi’s announcement of a cut-price tour earlier this week comes a welcome surprise!  The rockers stated that they would be offering tickets costing as little as £12.50 (approx $20 US) to their cash-strapped fans in the UK in an effort to prevent ordinary music lovers from being priced out of seeing live shows.

“The band insisted on ticket prices for the Because We Can tour that enabled all to attend,” explains Rob Hallett, the band’s UK tour promoter.  “Ordinary fans have been priced out of live music in recent years and we hope this goes some way toward redressing the balance.”

He adds “If we are to survive as an industry we need to move away from the elitist image of high prices and even higher secondary prices.  After all, rock’n’roll always was and always should be the music of the people and that means everyone.”

Bon Jovi kick off their Because We Can world tour in February, which is in support of their upcoming new album What About Now – due out Spring 2013.
