Actor Paul Dano and the rest of the cast of the upcoming Beach Boys biopic hit the beaches of Malibu, CA this week to film scenes for the movie.
Love & Mercy follows the life of Beach Boys frontman, Brian Wilson (played by Dano) through its ups and downs. The film also stars John Cusack as an older Wilson, Elizabeth Banks as his wife Melinda, and Paul Giamatti as his therapist.
Tuesday’s beach shoot seemed to focus on the golden period of Wilson’s life, as the group enjoyed their rise to fame as best friends.
Love & Mercy, directed by Bill Pohlad, will be released in 2014.
