Paul McCartney along with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have been announced as headliners for this year’s Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester Tennessee. Also set to headline are British folk-rockers Mumford and Sons and Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk.
The four-day Music & Arts Festival runs from June 13th to 16th and features an even more eclectic line-up than usual, including such artists as ZZ Top, Wilco, Gov’t Mule, Billy Idol, R. Kelly, Wu-Tang Clan, “Weird Al” Yankovic and The Sheepdogs. The festival boasts over 120 different acts and a complete list of performers can be found at Bonnaroo.com.
This will be the first Bonnaroo appearance for Paul McCartney, whose recent projects include fronting a brief collaboration with the surviving members of Nirvana. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers however, will make their second appearance at the famous festival, returning to the Bonnaroo stage for the first time since their celebrated 2006 performance.
Tickets go on sale this Saturday, February 23 at Noon EST.
