Rare 1964 Beatles Footage From ‘The Ed Sullivan Show’ Released [WATCH]

As the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show draws near, Rolling Stone has released rare video footage from 1964 that was previously unavailable online.  The footage includes a performance of “I Want to Hold Your Hand” from the February 9th, 1964 show in New York, “This Boy” from February 16th, 1964 in Miami, and a clip of “Twist and Shout” from the band’s first ever U.S. show on February 11th, 1964 in Washington, DC.

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will appear on the Late Show with David Letterman next week in celebration of the anniversary.
