U2’s song “Invisible” which was released Sunday as a free download has helped raise over $3 million to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
The free download period began during Sunday’s Super Bowl game and lasted 36 hours until 11:59 pm Monday. For each download, Bank of America donated one dollar to (RED), the organization co-founded by Bono in 2006, which in turn donated the money to Global Fund.
The “Invisible” campaign launched with a commercial during Sunday’s game and within an hour of airing, the song had been downloaded by over 1 million people.
If you missed out on the free download, “Invisible” is still available on iTunes for $1.29 and all proceeds will still be donated to (RED).
