Paul Simon paid tribute to George Harrison this week by performing The Beatles classic “Here Comes The Sun” on CONAN during the show’s “George Harrison week.” Watch the video below.
Simon performed the song with Harrison himself in 1976 on Saturday Night Live and sat down with Conan to talk about his memories of Harrison, who was a good friend of his. Watch that video here.
Wednesday nigh, Harrison’s son Dhani performed the song “Let It Down” and Norah Jones will perform on Thursday night.
Conan’s “George Harrison Week” coincides with the release of George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75, a deluxe compilation of Harrison’s first six solo albums produced by Apple Records.
