The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood has undergone surgery to remove a lung lesion, a spokesperson for the guitarist confirmed.

Wood, who turns 70 next week, is expected to make a full recovery. In a statement, he thanked the doctors who found the lesion in its early stages.

The Stones are set to kick off a European tour in September.
