Remastered 45th anniversary set features unreleased tracks and new edits

An expanded 45th anniversary edition of Pete Townshend’s 1972 album Who Came First is due out via UMe on April 20th. The 2-CD set features eight unreleased tracks as well as new edits, alternate versions and live recordings.

The original album tracks have been remastered by Who collaborator Jon Astley using the original master tapes.

Accompanying the set are a 24-page booklet of rare photos, liner notes by Townshend himself, and the original album poster.

Who Came First (45th Anniversary Edition) is available now for pre-order.

Also due out April 20th is a commemorative 2-CD edition of The Who’s Live at the Fillmore East 1968.
