The recently knighted Ringo Starr has just announced the North American dates for his upcoming All Starr Band tour. The group will be hitting the road on June 2nd for a show in Atlantic City, NJ before heading off to Europe for the remainder of June and July. They will then be returning to the US for the month of September to perform 20 shows.
Starr has also revealed the lineup for the 2018 All Starr Band, which he often jokingly refers to as “the best 1-800-band in the land.” The current iteration will include Colin Hay, Steve Lukather, Gregg Rolie, Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette and new member Graham Gouldmann of 10cc.
One of the aspects that makes the All Starr Band shows so enjoyable for fans is that each band member brings their most popular songs to the show, so each concert features classic hit after classic hit.
“There is no greater joy for me than playing great music with great musicians,” explained Starr in a recent press release. “Every night we get to play for all those loving people and it makes the hassle of touring worth it. It is a Peace & Love fest and I can’t wait to see you all out there this summer and fall.”
