Billy Joel continued his tradition of bringing special guests on stage during his Madison Square Garden residency show this week, welcoming Bryan Adams to join him for two songs.
The pair performed Bryan Adams’ classic “Summer of ’69” and Billy Joel’s “You May Be Right” to round out the five song encore on Thursday night. Watch fan-filmed footage below.
Also featured during the show was Joel’s tribute to the late Aretha Franklin, who died August 16th at the age of 76. The Piano Man and his band performed “Respect” in honor of the singer, with Joel’s longtime percussionist Crystal Taliefero taking the lead vocals.
