After releasing his newest studio album last week and announcing a handful of U.S. tour dates, Paul McCartney has followed it up with the release of a brand new music video for the song “Fuh You.”
The song is the first single from Egypt Station. Watch the video, directed by Simon Aboud, in the player below.
According to McCartney, while the title and lyrics have been misheard by many, the “fuh you” is actually meant to be a less formal version of “for you”. The lyrics to the chorus are actually “I just want it fuh you,” he clarifies.
McCartney visited the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday to celebrate the release of the album and live streamed a concert from NYC on Friday night.
Egypt Station is available now on CD, digitally and on streaming platforms.
In the video below, McCartney explains how “Fuh You” was written.
