The Beach Boys have opened up the archives to release a career-spanning six-CD box set titled Made in California.  The set caps off the band’s 50th Anniversary celebrations which kicked off last year with the release of a new album and a US tour.

Made in California features seven and a half hours of music including 60 previously unreleased tracks.  The discs are ordered chronologically, with the exception of the 6th disc, which contains decades worth of rarities. Presented in a hardbound book, the liner notes are filled with personal recollections from band members, replicated classic artwork and memorabilia, photos from the archives, and handwritten yearbook-style inscriptions from Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks.
