For over a decade, Ryan Adams has been hearing Ryan Adams-Bryan Adams jokes and refusing to give in to requests to cover Bryan Adams‘ hit, “Summer of ’69”. In fact, in 2002, Adams notoriously had a fan thrown out of his audience for continually shouting a request for the classic 1984 song.

But Ryan Adams has given in.

During a performance at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium this week, the singer-songwriter finally fulfilled that request, only 13 years later, with a stripped-down version of the song.
