It seems that GNR fans’ dreams are coming true, as multiple sources state that the Guns are set to reunite and headline Coachella in 2016 on April 15-17 and 22-24. This news is quick on the heels of an update to the band’s website, featuring the return of their classic logo, and reports that trailers, featuring crowd footage with “Welcome to the Jungle” playing over it, have been airing before showings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Reportedly, the band is also negotiating up to as many as 25 additional stadium shows across North America.
With over 100 million record sales worldwide, Guns N’ Roses is one of the world’s best-selling rock bands. Axl Rose’s attempts to tour with GNR, with none of the classic lineup present, seemed to delight and simultaneously frustrate fans. Erratic behavior, delays and long periods of time between shows and recordings have made fans skeptical. Here’s hoping Axl Rose will clear up some rumors and gives fans the news they want to hear when he appears on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ next week.
