Brian Wilson, founder and creative force of The Beach Boys, has died at the age of 82. A cause of death has not been revealed.

Wilson is widely acknowledged as one of the most innovative and significant songwriters of the 20th century.

Wilson’s family announced the death on his official website.

“We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away.

We are at a loss for words right now.
