Aerosmith Write Anthem For Patriots

The New England Patriots have their own anthem now, thanks to the Bad Boys from Boston.  The new tune, titled “Legendary Child – Patriot’s Anthem” made its debut during Sunday’s game against the rival New York Jets and is available now for free download at www.PepsiAnthems.com or you can listen to it below:

“In an ongoing effort to amplify the intersection between sports and music, we are thrilled to add Aerosmith and Lenny Kravitz as the newest Anthems artists,” said Pepsi Director of Sports Marketing Todd Kaplan. “On top of that, the Jets and Patriots have a notorious rivalry, and we couldn’t have picked a better match-up to debut our new songs and advertising campaign.”

Aerosmith, longtime fans of the Patriots, are the 7th match-up in the Pepsi NFL Anthems program, joining the ranks of Kid Rock (Detroit Lions), Kelly Clarkson (Dallas Cowboys), Ice Cube (Oakland Raiders), Travie McCoy (New York Giants), Lenny Kravitz (New York Jets) and Wiz Khalifa (Pittsburgh Steelers).

“This is a program the band and I were excited to get behind as it is a true representation of our allegiance to the New England Patriots and the city of Boston,” said Steven Tyler in a press release.  “Hearing our song being played as the soundtrack at all the tailgate patries to every touchdown is a testament to all the diehard Aerosmith fans in New England … GO PATS!”
