Beatlemania Returning in 2014

The-Beatles-LogoCelebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles’ first visit to America, Capitol Records is set to release a box set January 21st titled The U.S. Albums.

The set will include reissues of all 13 of the band’s American albums – most of which had different track lists, mixes, titles or even artwork than their U.K. counterparts.

Continuing the anniversary celebration, CBS will air a The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute To The Beatles. The television special airs at 8pm on February 9th, marking the exact 50th anniversary of the band’s legendary appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show.

And finally, The Beatles will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award during Grammy Awards week in a special invitation-only ceremony on January 25th. The Beatles were nominted for 25 Grammys between 1964 and 1997, winning eight.
