A piece of wall taken from the set of the Ed Sullivan Show signed by The Beatles on that historic night in 1964 when the band debuted on American television, is going up for auction Saturday. The wall is signed by all four Beatles and is expected to reach between $800,000 and $1M US.
The piece has been part of a private collection since 2002 but the owner has decided to sell this year, the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ introduction to America, because he’s “not sure [he’ll] be around for the 75th anniversary.”
