Bob Dylan has been awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature it was announced yesterday, marking the first time the prestigious honor has been awarded to someone known primarily as a musician.
According to the Swedish Academy, Dylan will receive the award for “having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.”
