Love & Mercy, the Brian Wilson biopic which follows the darker years of the Beach Boy leader’s life, will premiere in September at the Toronto International Film Festival, it has been announced.

Directed by Bill Pohlad, the film stars Paul Dano as the younger Brian Wilson and John Cusack in Wilson’s later years, as well as Elizabeth Banks as Melinda Ledbetter and Paul Giamatti as the controversial therapist Dr. Eugene Landy.

Love & Mercy was filmed in Southern California in 2013 and is still looking for a distributor.
