Canadian rocker Bryan Adams has announced the first details of his forthcoming album, Get Up!, due out October 16.
“Believe me, I’m so excited about this. I can’t wait for it to come out,” Adams told ABC News Radio. “It’s up, it’s rocking, it sounds really retro… and I don’t care!”
Get Up!, produced by Jeff Lynne, is Adams’ first album of new material since 2008’s 11, but the “Summer of ’69” singer calls it the best he’s ever made, next to his 1984 four-time platinum selling album, Reckless. In 2014, he released an album of covers titled Tracks of My Years which included songs originally recorded by the Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Beach Boys, among others.
Get Up! will be available for pre-order on Monday, August 10. Watch a quick teaser below.
