David Bowie has confirmed the upcoming release of his 25th studio album on January 8, 2016, the same day as the White Duke’s 69th birthday.
The first single, “Blackstar,” is the album’s title track. It will be made available November 20th.
The album will reportedly feature music from Bowie’s theater project, Lazarus, a musical interpretation of the sci-fi film, The Man Who Fell To Earth.
A post on Bowie’s website confirms that the single is not related to the Broadway project.
