45 years after Pink Floyd filmed ‘Live At Pompeii’ in the legendary Roman Amphitheatre there, David Gilimour returned for two spectacular shows in July 2016, part of the year-long tour in support of his No.1 album Rattle That Lock. The performances were the first-ever rock concerts for an audience in the stone Roman amphitheatre, and, for two nights only, the 2,600-strong crowd stood exactly where gladiators would have fought in the first century AD.

Now, Live At Pompeii, the film that documents the pair of 2016 shows, will screen for one night only on September 13th in over 2,000 movie theaters around the world.

The film, directed by Gavin Elder and shot in 4K, features songs from Gilmour’s entire career including from his solo albums and Pink Floyd hits such as “Wish  You Were Here” and “Comfortably Numb.”
