Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie Honored for Lifetime Achievement

Christine_McVie_-_Fleetwood_Mac_(1977)Christine McVie was honored with a lifetime achievement award Thursday night at the Ivor Novello Awards in London.

The Ivors take place each May in Britain and honor excellence in songwriting and composing.

McVie performed with Fleetwood Mac for 28 years and is responsible for some of their biggest hits including “Little Lies” and “Don’t Stop.” This year, she is returning to the band for their upcoming reunion tour.

“We are in the process of making another studio album which should be out next year,” McVie said after picking up her award.

Earlier this month, Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham told the LA Times that working with McVie was “better than ever,” as the duo worked on a new tune at the band’s West Los Angeles recording studio.
