Cream drummer Ginger Baker has canceled all upcoming tour dates with his group Ginger Baker’s Airforce 3. Baker was scheduled to perform 5 shows in the U.K. in April, with a 10-date U.S. tour to follow, however all shows have been canceled due to the drummer’s health.

“…. big shock… no more gigs for this old drumer…. everything is off….” reads a statement on Baker’s website. “Of all things i never thought it would be my heart….”

According to Baker’s website, he has been diagnosed with serious heart problems.

Baker founded Cream in 1966 along with Eric Clapton. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is considered one of the most influential drummers of all time.
