Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson has just finished a seven week course of chemotherapy and radiology, the band announced Thursday on their website.
Dickinson reportedly went in for a routine checkup in December which led to tests and biopsies that revealed a small cancerous tumour at the back of his tongue.
Prognosis is good, says the band’s statement, as the tumour was caught early. Dickinson is expected to make a full recovery, however the band is asking for fans to respect his privacy until another update is issued in late May.
