The Surrey mansion which was shared by John Lennon and his first wife Cynthia has hit the market for £14 Million – more than twice the asking price from the last time the house was listed for sale, back in 2006.
Lennon purchased the home in 1964 for £20,000 and lived there until 1968. It is believed that several of the songs from Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band were written in the attic of the home.
Clips of home movies showing John at the property in 1967 appeared in the film Imagine: John Lennon
