Lynyrd Skynyrd’s epic Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour is set to enter its third year with the band announcing a new set of shows between March and August 2020.
“We’ve said we want to play every venue and market we’ve ever visited around the world one last time and even some places we haven’t, so we get to see all of Skynyrd Nation,” singer Johnny Van Zant said in a press release. “We are getting close!”
The newly announced dates have been slotted in around previously planned shows at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Fla., the Epicenter Festival in Charlotte, N.C. and Country Thunder Iowa in Forest City, Iowa. Country artist Travis Tritt will serve as the opener for many of the non-festival shows.
Tickets for most of the new dates will go on sale Friday, December 6, 2019, at 10 am local time. Visit Lynyrd Skynyrd’s website for full details on tickets and VIP packages.
Each pair of ticket purchased will include a copy of the band’s new concert album Lynyrd Skynyrd: Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour Lyve! The album, which dropped November 1, 2019, documents the Southern rock group’s farewell tour and was recorded at their hometown show in Jacksonville, FL on September 2, 2018.
Here’s a clip of the band performing “What’s Your Name (LYVE)” from their forthcoming concert film also titled Lynyrd Skynyrd: Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour Lyve!.
