Metallica has announced a handful of European shows scheduled for next summer for which fans will be able to request the set list. After purchasing tickets, fans will receive a code and a link to a voting site where they can cast their ballot.
Metallica generally performs 18 songs in a show, and the band is allowing the audience to select all but one, which will be one new song picked by the band.. Over the years, Metallica has recorded more than 130 songs.

Additional dates are to be announced soon, however confirmed shows include:
June 4 – Hamburg, Germany
June 5-8 – Nurburgring, Germany
Jun 6-9 – Nurnberg, Germany
June 9 – Landgraaf, Netherlands
July 3 – Werchter, Belgium
July 6 – Stevenage, England
The band recently released their 3D concert film Through The Never (pre-order on Amazon.com) and will soon begin working on a new album
