Mick Jagger, Martin Scorsese and Terence Winter’s long-developing 70’s rock drama for HBO is making further steps towards fruition: the team now includes feature writer-directors Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Ocean’s Thirteen), who will showrun the project if it goes to series. Koppelman and Levien will also do some re-writing on Winter’s pilot script.
The drama, which is as-yet untitled, has been in development since 2010. In June, Bobby Cannavale was recruited t the lead role, a cocaine-fueled record exec in New York City in 1977. The pilot will apparently be filmed in 2014.
