Last week, Monty Python announced a one-off reunion show – the group’s first stage show in decades – to take place July 1st at London’s O2 Arena.

The surviving members of the group – John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, said they planned to do one show and see if they could fill the 20,000 seat venue. However, clearly promoters were more realistic about the demand for tickets; once the first show sold out in 43.5 seconds, four more shows immediately went on sale (July 2nd – 5th).

Monty Python will perform the most famous sketches from their television program and films.
