The Liverpool home where former Beatle Paul McCartney grew up was sold at auction on Thursday, Yahoo! News reports.
The townhouse, where McCartney lived from age 4 to age 10, went for £50,000 above its guide price, for a total of £150,000 ( approximately $231,000 US). It is describe by Countrywide Property Auctions as a humble, three-up, two-down terrace home.
The auction took place at the Cavern Club, where The Beatles played regularly during the early years of their career.
In 2013, John Lennon’s childhood home in the same area sold for £480,000.
