Roger Taylor May Have to Remove Golden Freddie Mercury Statue From Garden

we-will-rock-you-freddie-mercury-dominion-theatreRoger Taylor may have to remove the Freddie Mercury statue that is standing in his garden in Surrey, England, contactmusic.com reports.

Taylor took the statue from London’s Dominion Theatre last year, after a 12 year run of the Queen musical We Will Rock You wrapped up. Now the golden Freddie Mercury stands in his garden and it turns out Brian May isn’t the only one that’s not happy about it.

Local officials have ruled that the statue breaks planning laws in the historic neighborhood, however Taylor has reportedly applied for permission to keep the statue. A ruling will be made after March 15th, until which time, Taylor’s neighbors have the opportunity to voice their opinion on whether it should be allowed or not.
