Roger Taylor’s ‘Queen Extravaganza’ Announces 2014 UK Tour

Following the success of last year’s North American tour, Roger Taylor’s The Queen Extravaganza – The Official Queen Tribute Show, has announced a 14-city tour across the UK in September.

Tickets for the tour are on sale now.

“The Queen Extravaganza is a brand new show specially designed to enable new fans, together with fans of old, to celebrate the music of Queen in a heart-stopping event, says Roger Taylor, who, along with Queen’s Brian May are the masterminds behind the show. “It’s very spectacular, it’s very visual, there are going to be some shocks and some tremendous surprises. It will be a rock celebration in the Royal tradition.”

The band, which features musicians selected by Taylor in an online talent contest, made their debut in 2013 on American Idol. They include vocalist Marc Martel, who became a viral sensation for his striking similarities to Freddie Mercury, guitarist Nick Radcliffe, drummer Tyler Warren, bassist Francois-Oliver Doyon, and keyboardist Brandon Ethridge.

The 90 minute Queen Extravaganza features 20+ Queen classics, plus rare video footage for Queen’s archives and newly-created imagery.
