A new online teaser is the latest in a string of clues that Steve Perry is preparing to make a comeback to music with the release of a new album this fall.

Earlier this month, fans and media outlets speculated the former Journey frontman turned solo artist was up to something after Perry appeared in a video posted by Toad the Wet Sprocket. Shortly after, a press release on behalf of Neal Schon actually mentioned Perry was going to be releasing a new album.

Now a new teaser website has launched featuring the message “I know it’s been a long time comin’…” and links to newly created social media accounts. The accounts all feature the official blue check mark, verifying their authenticity.

Steve Perry is reportedly due to appear on CBS Sunday morning on October 7th, which presumably indicates an early October release date.

If speculation is correct, the new album will mark Perry’s first solo release since 1994’2 For The Love Of Strange Medicine.

This article has been updated from an earlier version which stated the social media accounts had not been verified. The social media accounts have since been verified and this article was updated to reflect that.
