Elton John Adds Shows to 2020 North American Tour

Elton John has added new dates to the 2020 North American leg of his massive Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

The 24 new shows will be scattered throughout the existing tour schedule and now include two-night stands in large cities like Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, and Houston, as well as stops in smaller-market cities like Hershey, PA, Lincoln, NE and Fargo, ND. The trek will launch on March 28 in Toronto and concludes July 8 in Kansas City, MO.

Tickets for the new shows go on sale on Nov. 22 at 10 AM local time. American Express cardholders can access a pre-sale that begins Nov. 14 at 10 AM local time and ends Nov. 18 at 10 PM local time. Full details are available at EltonJohn.com.

In January 2018 the Rocketman announced his plan to hit the road for one last epic tour before retiring from the road. “My priorities have changed in life,” he told host Anderson Cooper during a news conference. “But we had children and that changed our lives. … My priorities now are my family and my husband. I thought the time is right to say thank you to all of my fans and then to say goodbye. That doesn’t mean I won’t be creative, but I’m not gonna travel anymore.”

He has spent much of the last two years performing shows across North America and Europe with a run of shows scheduled in Australia and New Zealand in December and January. John reportedly plans to continue the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour into 2021, however no dates have been announced beyond December 2020 in London, as of yet.
