U2 Performs for Small Crowd on Top of the Rock, Kicks off Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon This Evening

In advance of their musical appearance on tonight’s debut of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, U2 performed on “Top of the Rock” – the upper observation deck of NBC’s 30 Rock headquarters in New York’s Rockefeller Center – Sunday afternoon for a small crowd of 100 fans.

ATU2.com reports that the performance, during which U2 performed their song “Invisible” twice, was a pre-taping for today’s broadcast in case weather wouldn’t allow the performance to be taped today.

The Rutgers Marching band accompanied the performance.

Tune in this evening at 12:00 midnight ET/PT to watch U2 perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The show will air a little later than it’s regularly scheduled time due to NBC’s Olympic coverage.
