U2 has been added to the performance lineup for the Academy Awards ceremony on March 2nd. The band will perform their song “Ordinary Love” from the film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. The song is nominated for the Oscar for Best Original Song, along with “The Moon Song” by Karen O (Her), “Happy” by Pharrell Williams (Despicable Me 2), and “Let It Go” by Idina Menzel (Frozen).
The 86th Annual Academy Awards will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres and will air live on Sunday March 2nd on ABC.

Earlier this week, U2 released the video for a new song titled “Invisible” as part of a campaign to raise funds for the fight against AIDS. The song, which is available on iTunes, has already raised more than $3 million for the Global Fund.
