Van Halen has announced a North American tour kicking off July 5th in Seattle, WA at the White River Amphitheatre with shows scheduled through October 2nd in Los Angeles, CA at the legendary Hollywood Bowl. Special guest Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band will support all dates on the tour. Tickets go on sale April 4th at ticketmaster.com and livenation.com.
In celebration of the tour announcement and the band’s forthcoming album, Van Halen will also make a rare T.V. appearance this month, performing on Hollywood Boulevard for Jimmy Kimmel Live. The concert will take place March 30th and will be broadcast over two nights – March 30th and 31st. This marks Van Halen’s first U.S. television performance with original singer David Lee Roth. Jimmy Kimmel Live airs at 11:35pm/10:35pm CT on ABC.
The Jimmy Kimmel Live performance will be a hit-heavy set of songs featured on the band’s new live album, Tokyo Dome Live in Concert. Due out March 31st on iTunes and Amazon, it is the band’s first-ever live album to feature David Lee Roth. Also available March 31st are remastered versions of the classic albums of Van Halen and 1984.
