Watch Bruce Sprinsteen’s Surprise Performance with Jackson Browne in NJ

Bruce Springsteen surprised a room full of Jackson Browne fans last week when the New Jersey native joined Browne on stage during his show at Red Bank’s Count Basie Theater.

The pair performed “Take It Easy,” a song made famous by the Eagles and co-written by Browne and Glenn Frey.

The performance, which came one day before Springsteen’s 66th birthday, can be viewed below.

It’s no surprise that Browne would invite the Boss to join him on stage; the two have been friends since they first met in the 70’s at New York City’s Bitter End. In 2004, Springsteen gave a speech when Browne was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
