Watch Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen Perform ‘I Saw Her Standing There’

The Boss joins McCartney on stage at MSG to perform the Beatles classic

Paul McCartney treated fans at New York’s Madison Square Garden to a treat on Friday when he invited Bruce Springsteen and Steven Van Zandt on stage to perform a rendition of the Beatles classic “I Saw Her Standing There”.

“The last time we played together was in London’s Hyde Park and they pulled the plug,” Macca told the audience as he introduced his guests.

Indeed, concert organizers cut the power as the pair performed “I Saw Her Standing There” and “Twist and Shout” during the E Street Band’s Hard Rock Calling Festival performance back in 2012.

But there was no stopping them on Friday night as McCartney and Springsteen traded vocals and Van Zandt took an extended guitar solo. In fact, when the song was over, McCartney announced, “I reckon we gotta play it one more time,” before launching into the song again.

Friday night’s show was the third show of McCartney’s 8-show run in the New York area and part of his One On One tour. Click here for a full list of dates.

Beginning in October, Springsteen will perform five shows a week for an 8-week run at the Walter Kerr Theatre on Broadway in New York.
