“It’s not up to us to define the Grateful Dead,” says Jerry Garcia in the newly released trailer for the long-awaited Dead doc Long Strange Trip, “it’s this living, breathing thing.”
The 241-minute film, directed by Amir Bar-Lev and executive produced by Martin Scorsese, features never-before-seen interviews, photos and video footage.
Long Strange Trip will premiere on Amazon Prime on June 2. A one-night screening event will take place at select theaters across the U.S. on May 25th with a handful of theaters in New York and L.A. presenting screenings on May 26th.
