Gregg Allman and Biopic Producers Slapped with Second Lawsuit

A second lawsuit has been filed against Gregg Allman and the producers of his ‘Midnight Rider’ biopic as a result of the train accident on set which killed one crew member and injured seven others.

The accident took place in February shortly after production on the film began. Although Allman distanced himself from the movie after the accident and attempted to stop director Randall Miller from continuing with production, he has now been named a defendant in two lawsuits as a result of the accident.

Hairstylist Joyce Gilliard has followed in the footsteps of the Sarah Jones’ parents, who filed a lawsuit last month. Jones, 27, was the camera assistant killed in the accident.

Gilliard fractured her arm in the accident and says it has left her with permanent injuries and post-traumatic stress. Her lawsuite names Gregg Allman, as an executive producer of the film, director Randall Miller and his assistants, who failed to get permission to filim on the railroad bridge, as well as CSX Transportation, who owns the tracks, and Rayonier Performance Fi
