Stones Play “Warm-Up” Gig in Paris (Video) PLUS More Concert News

The Rolling Stones played their first gig in five years at a small rock club in Paris on Thursday night. With a crowd of about 600, the show recalled their Marquee club roots as the band cranked out a barrage of career-spanning hits such as “It’s Only Rock & Roll (But I Like It)”, “Brown Sugar”, “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and “Tumbling Dice” as well as their new song “Doom and Gloom” from the upcoming greatest hits collection GRRR! (due out November 13th).

Last week, guitarist Ron Wood had hinted that the band would be playing some warm-up gigs to prepare for their upcoming 50th anniversary shows in London and Newark, NJ. Tickets for all four shows sold out mere minutes after the box office opened. However, there is good news for those not lucky enough to score the highly coveted tickets. Fans can watch the Stones live in concert on pay-per-view on Saturday, December 15 at 9pm ET. Titled One More Shot, the pay-per-view performance will be available through all cable, satellite and telco providers. Keith Richards also hinted that their may be more gigs on the horizon – in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the guitarist said, “We ain’t doing all this for four gigs!”
