May 19, 2020 – Sally Cato, lead singer of Smashed Gladys, dies of unknown causes. Formed in Toronto in 1984, Smashed Gladys was a glam metal band and released two studio albums. Cato returned to writing science fiction novels and dark-comedy screenplays after the band broke up.
