A brand new Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers song premiered on CBS This Morning on Wednesday, accompanied by never-before-seen archival video footage from the studio, backstage and more. Hear the song in the video player below.

“Keep a Little Soul” is one of 60 tracks featured on An American Treasure, a new posthumous box set due out this fall. “Keep a Little Soul” was recorded in 1982 during the sessions for Long After Dark but didn’t make the album. It’s one of 60 tracks on the 4-CD box that includes previously unreleased studio and live recordings, deep cuts and alternate versions.

An American Treasure  was compiled by Petty’s daughter Adria, wife Dana and former collaborators including Heartbreakers Benmont Tench and Mike Campbell.

“The criteria was songs that we felt really said something about Dad,” Adria told CBS. ” It’s such a strange thing to lose someone like him. He was much cooler than people could imagine. And I think a lot of people thought he was pretty cool.”

An American Treasure is due out September 28th.
