Mick Jagger is “doing well” after undergoing heart surgery in New York City this week. A representative for the band said in a statement that the Rolling Stones frontman is expected to make a full recovery.

“I’m feeling much better now and one the mend – and also a huge thank you to all the hospital staff for doing a superb job,” said the 75-year-old in a Facebook post Friday afternoon.

Last week it was announced that the Rolling Stones would postpone their nine-week North American tour until further notice.

“Mick has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment,” read a statement from the band. “We apologize for any inconvenience this causes those who have tickets to shows but wish to reassure fans to hold onto these existing tickets, as they will be valid for the rescheduled dates, which will be announced shortly.”

The No Filter tour was scheduled to run from April 20th to June 29th.
